An official certificate to validate your French-language skills
DELF (Diplôme Elémentaire de Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are
organized and delivered by the French Ministry of Education. These diplomas assessing your level in French language are internationally
recognised and have lifetime validity.
The Alliance Française Amsterdam is the only official examination centre for the DELF & DALF exams in Amsterdam. You can take the DELF or DALF exam twice a year, in May and December.
Why take these exams?
With the DELF/DALF you will:
- receive an official certificate which attests your language skills
- be able to measure your progress in French and therefore enhance it
- be able to prove your language skills for professional, personal and educational objectives
- increase your chances on the labour market (internships, recruitment, promotion, mobility)
What is being assessed?
There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework
of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). At each level, the 4 following skills are assessed: listening, speaking, reading and
writing.
What if you do not pass the exam?
In order to pass the DELF/DALF exam you must get a minimum score of 50/100.
If you score below 50 and wish to retake the DELF/DALF exam, you will have to enroll for a new exam session.
