official certificate to validate your French-language skills
DELF (Diplôme Elémentaire de Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are organized and delivered by the French Ministry of Education. These diplomas assessing your level in French language are internationally recognised and have lifetime validity.
As from 2018, the Alliance Française Amsterdam is the only official examination centre for the DELF and DALF exams in Amsterdam. You
can take the DELF or DALF exam twice a year, in June and December.
Why taking these exams?
With the DELF/DALF you will:

- be able to measure your progress in French and therefore enhance it

- increase your chances on the labour market (internships, recruitment, promotion, mobility)
What is being assessed ?
There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). At each level, the 4 following skills are assessed: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The DELF Junior exam is for high school students from 12 to 17 years old. The DELF Junior diploma is available for 4 different levels - A1, A2, B1 and B2. You can sit this exam twice a year, in March and June.
