France is the home place of the most acclaimed maisons de haute couture but also de prêt-à-porter, forever conveying the utmost glamorous elegance. Since the 2nd part of the 20th century, cinema actresses and actors embody and influence fashion -or the other way around ?
Why and how have cinema and fashion such an intimate imbrication? Discover the greatest inspirations of French designers, the concept and
creative process of advertisement videos, the motivation of the biggest cinema stars who have become muses for fashion brands... From

This conference is part of a broader series of workshops and talks around the theme of Fashion that started in January 2018. The Haute couture and Le luxe français 6-week workshops have already taken place earlier in the year. The conference is in continuation of the series and precedes another iteration of the Haute couture workshop to occur from the end of October 2018.
The conference is an opportunity for every student in fashion or in French, every cinephile or Francophile and every fashionista to learn
about this close relationship between two artistic sectors, while improving /practicing French listening or speaking.
